Acadian Lines: John Ferguson

Bus Company Dept: The Energy and Utilities Board ruled last Friday that Acadian Lines could drop some unprofitable routes in New Brunswick, according to CBC. John Ferguson, the town's chief administrative officer, said many students and seniors in the town rely on the bus, but he wants more people to get on board and a St. Stephen town official is urging residents to use the Acadian Lines service or risk losing the bus. The regulator ruled that the bus company couldn't drop the Saint John to St. Stephen route, but it's being reduced from daily service to three times a week. As well, the bus will now stop at the border town rather than heading on to Bangor, Me. As reported in the news.
