Returning To Canada Dept: Mario Antonio Mulato Orantes, 53, was flown back to his homeland in the company of border service agents late last week and is barred from ever returning to Canada, an agency spokeswoman said, according to CBC. Mulato Orantes garnered convictions and jail time for domestic assault, weapons and drug possession and beaches of numerous court orders. He was arrested by the CBSA in May and held on a deportation warrant and a former Salvadoran soldier who became a violent criminal after immigrating to Canada in 1987 has been deported, the Canada Border Service Agency reported Monday. Mulato Orantes, who amassed 29 convictions during more than 20 years in Canada, had fought the deportation since 2005, saying he would be punished for his army role if he returned to El Salvador.
