Cbsa Dept: A federal immigration adjudicator in Saskatoon ruled Monday that removing Dr. Femi Olokodana from Canada would cause undue hardship for the community of Nipawin, Sask., where he's worked since 2009, according to CBC. Olokodana, who came to Canada in 1994, successfully appealed the CBSA's decision and will be back at work this week and a doctor working in a small Saskatchewan town has staved off deportation. The Canada Border Services Agency ordered the doctor deported to the U.S. earlier this year, saying he didn't reside in Canada enough of the time to keep his permanent resident status. Under federal immigration rules, a person considered a permanent resident must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period to retain their status. As
