Microbreweries: Lagers

Ales Dept: There's a long tradition in Europe of brewing special beers for the holidays. Now a few Quebec microbreweries are bottling their own, too, according to Montreal Gazette. Made in limited quantities and naturally bottle-fermented, they can even be offered as collector's items and think Christmas and New Year's, think wine and bubbly. But why not beer? Higher in alcohol than regular lagers and ales and often flavoured with fruits or spices, they're meant to be festive. As reported in the news.
