Prince Edward Island: Settlement Strategy

Allan Campbell Dept: The Settlement Strategy was unveiled Wednesday in the legislature, according to CBC. Innovation and Advanced Learning Minister Allan Campbell says the new strategy targets areas such as language skills, employment and quality of life and prince Edward Island had released its long-awaited strategy to improve the lives of immigrants and to keep them from leaving the province. The province's Settlement Strategy was released at the legislature Wednesday. The government had been promising a plan for the past couple of years to deal with the tide of immigrants that began in 2006 under the Provincial Nominee Program. Almost 1800 new immigrants now call the Island home. As reported in the news.
