Travel Delays Dept: Ottawa also announced the elimination of duplicate bag-gage screening in the U.S., which the government said will reduce travel delays, according to Vancouver Sun. The dedicated NEXUS lanes and removal of duplicate bag-gage screening are expected to be in place by February and new dedicated security check-in lines at airports for Canadian travellers who have special passes will make travel to the U.S. faster and more convenient, the federal government said Thursday. The NEXUS passes that allow speedier security check-ins already exist, but the federal government is adding dedicated check-in lines for the pass holders at seven major Canadian airports, including Vancouver International Airport.
