Junior Witter Dept: D carie, 25-1 with seven knockouts, meets Victor Lupo, 19-1-2 with nine KOs, Saturday night at the Colis e Pepsi in a 12-round bout for the vacant World Boxing Council International welterweight title. While the title's considered insignificant in the grand scheme, the winner is guaranteed to be ranked no lower than 10th, making him eligible for a world title shot in 2012, according to Montreal Gazette. Lupo, a former Canadian welter champ, hasn't fought since February, but is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision against Junior Witter, a former world champion. Phil LoGreco is the reigning International champ, but was stripped for refusing to meet Lupo and it's not even listed Qas the main event, but for Antonin D carie and Victor Lupo it might well be the most important fight of their careers. "It's a good opportunity. He's just coming back from his biggest win," said Laval's D carie.
