National Adoption Dept: For nearly two years, Jeff Watson, Conservative MP for Essex, worked behind Commons committee doors to advocate for a national adoption strategy for Canada, according to The Star. An adoptee himself, Watson, 40, struggled to articulate why his biological family didn t yet feel complete. In an interview with the Star in December about his parliamentary work he said: I still have a name in my heart for the next child and oTTAWA She s just four days old and she s rocked his world. But for much longer than that, the father of five children, ages 4 to 14, held onto a dream that he and his wife Sarah would also one day adopt a child.
