BMO Soccer Dept: In mid-June, the team was named the ninth BMO team of the week for 2012. The prize included $500 for the team, $500 to a charity of the girls choice, and track suits. It also made them eligible to compete for the grand prize, according to CBC. According to BMO Soccer, a national sponsorship program for professional and amateur soccer, the teams were selected based on team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game and the Eliot River Ramblers, an under-12 girls soccer team from Cornwall, are competing in an online competition run by BMO Soccer with a prize of a $125,000 upgrade to the local field. In all, 15 finalists from across Canada, all teams in the seven to twelve age range, are competing in the online competition.
